VOTE ON MARCH 5TH

From Chester to Chilcoot, and everywhere in between, I have had the honor and privilege of representing hundreds of people in our community in a wide variety of legal issues. I have assisted with probate, family law and child custody, real estate issues, wills and trusts, contracts and criminal defense.  I have handled appeals and a variety of writs in the Court of Appeal, and have served a judge pro tem.  All of which has provided me with the experience necessary to serve as Superior Court Judge.

Outside of my work in the courtroom, I have proudly represented our community as a volunteer with many organizations and associations which provide services to Plumas County. I have previously served as: 

Board member for the Plumas Crisis Resource and Intervention Center; the Plumas County Blue Ribbon Committee on Children in Foster Care which advised and submitted recommendations to the California Judicial Counsel Center for Families Children and the Court.  I was a founding member of the Plumas County Drug Court as well as the Community Justice Court.  These treatment courts are designed to help break the cycle of relapse and addiction.  Finally, I am a former member of the executive committee to the Community Corrections Partnership (C.C.P.) which manages and distributes an approximate $1,000,000.00 budget to be distributed to our community service providers and agencies dedicated to reduce recidivism in our community.

In addition to work and family, living in this community has made it possible for me to continue to be involved with one of  my favorite hobbies, sports.  When my children were growing up, I volunteered for all of their youth sports leagues, including Little League Baseball, CYO Basketball, and Feather River Youth Football and Cheer. I coached varsity football, volleyball, basketball and track at Quincy High School before accepting a position to coach football at Feather River College.  I was fortunate to be part of several championship teams, of which I am very proud. However, I am far more proud to have been able to be a small part of the development of hundreds of student athletes in this community.
